A couple of weeks ago I found myself traveling from NYC to Philadelphia. It was my first time in the city, so I was excited to explore some of its cultural highlights whilst also shooting some new content for jtofashion.com!
This sweet, but short series was shot by the incredibly talented and equally lovely, Amarachi Nwosu who you should all be following on twitter (here) and Instagram (here). During my time in Philly Amara was finishing her final semester of college, so tapping into her expertise of the city recommended that we shoot the first look outside the Rodin Museum (JTO fun fact: one of my all time favourite Rodin sculptures is The Gates of Hell).
This look is all about ease. You can almost never go wrong with a plain, fitted dress, but the real goal is to avoid making it look too basic. So really, it’s the colour of this dress that I was drawn to. I used to avoid anything peach or salmon toned, but I’ve come to realise it actually suits me. All I needed to accessorise this particular look was a pair of killer bootie-heels and bejewelled sunglasses – staples for any summer look.
