Wow. Where do I even begin? I had the most amazing weekend in Cap Ferrat with world renown jewellery brand, Bulgari. My mum and I were invited to spend 4 days in the South of France in the Cap Ferrat region for parties and events all in celebration of Bulgari’s new High Jewellery collection.
After arriving at Nice airport on Thursday I quickly dropped of my bags in the hotel, had a quick bite and started frantically to get ready to shoot the Cap Ferrat Diaries! Don’t worry, that’ll be on the blog later this week. After shooting the upcoming Cap Ferrat diaries for all of you lovely people, I got ready for the Gala dinner.
For the dinner I wore this majestic Oscar de la Renta gown (below) with a mustard Bottega Veneta clutch. I have been saving this dress for that special moment and I couldn’t have chosen I better moment! The evening started with drinks on the grounds of the Villa Rotschild. Then we sat down for the Fashion show during with the new high jewellery collection was shown with it’s themed inspirations: Eden, Roma and Extravaganza. Roma was absolutely my favourite of the 3. The medallion necklaces blah blah.
After the show it was time for dinner and dancing. First a 4 course dinner including lobster, ristotto and veal, and then entertainment from a magician and a live music from an awesome band. After this crazy long day (remember I had only arrived in Cap Ferrat that afternoon!) It was time for unpacking finally and a catch up on sleep.
I woke up on Saturday feeling rejuvenated and ready for the day ahead! In the morning we were able to see the new collection in its entirety with the CEO of Bvlgari himself, Jean-Christophe Babin. I fell in love with absolutely everything. Diamonds really are a girls best friend!
Then was the boat trip that we took from the Cap Ferrat coast to Monaco, where I could see the harbour we chilled on only two weeks ago during the Grand Prix Historique (here).
Then it was back to the hotel to get ready for the pool party. I wore this Zayan the Label co-ord I’ve been so excited to rock with my new white Dior shoes and Chanel bag. The party was at our hotel so we just walked down and took a cable car to the pool overlooking the sea. There was lovely seafood and succulent burgers whilst we watched dancers and synchronised swimmers. What was the biggest bang of the night? The fireworks that really got the party started – then it was all to the dance floor where we danced the night away, stumbling back to our rooms after all the boogie was out our systems.
Saturday was the day for rejuvenating and chilling. I’m beyond proud of myself that I was able to fit in an hour gym session because I never work out on holiday. Then I had the best time in the spa. from the steam and shower, to a 90 minute massage in an outside cabana. It was sublime. As I returned pool side and looked out at the Mediterannean ocean for some light lunch I felt the most relaxed than I have been in months. The rest of the day was spent packing and relaxing with my mum getting ready for our sad return to London the next day.
My last day was a sad day indeed. Even my mum said it felt like we had been there for a week! That’s just how action-packed and lovely our trip had been. We decided to spend our last day walking along the coast for an amazing hike that looked out unto the sea. We grudgingly packed up our cases and stopped for one last seafood spaghetti before heading to the airport.
