Welcome to the first ever Amsterdam Diaries on jtofashion.com! This was my second time in Amsterdam, but the first time I managed to shoot some looks for the blog. If you want to find out what I got up to when I was’t in front of the camera, click (here). For the first look of this series I just had to wear my favourite new denim skirt. As someone who loves every type of skirt, and especially denim skirts, I was literally jumping for joy when I found this great midi-length number whilst I was in the Oxford Circus H&M store. If you’re new to my blog you may not yet be aware with my near obsession with H&M, see more (here)!

I paired my denim skirt with a pastel-toned turtleneck jumper – a favourite combination of mine. Although I was in the Netherlands, I decided to accessorise with some classic French and Italian brands, my Gucci shades and Chanel mules/cross-body bag are the ideal additions for a lady-like spin that is also suitable for the daytime. I’ve learnt to never be afraid to dress up, even before dusk. Always remember: some unnecessary glamour is the perfect antidote to a drab day.
