Walking Colour Wheel

Remember back in 2010/2011, when colour-blocking was everywhere. This admittedly oversaturated trend took a break from my closet, but it is officially back just in time for spring. As the weather gets warmer and warmer, my experimentation with clashing colour combinations will also grow exponentially. As with this outfit, I won’t just be mixing up colours, but also tonal values – i.e. pastels with warmer shades. Here’s a styling secret that you can steal, free of charge: if you want an outfit to seamlessly work from AM to PM, then all you need are some mismatched saturated hues with a pastel touch. As you can see, I really advocate for letting your clothing choices speak as loud and proud as you want them to. I think we could all say that in-your-face-fashion is ridiculously underrated, but sometimes you just need some space to be unapologetically colourfull.
