Modern Day Goth

Netting, Neon and black – all 90s goth hard hitters. But I wanted to make my gothic inspiration something anyone can experiment with. Although this isn’t a look you would wear to the shops per se, it’s definitely a fun way to experiment on the weekend or for an event. For those of you who usually stick with a LBD, neutral tones and knee high boots, this is a silhouette you need to try out.

I usually run miles from anything even close to yellow (and especially neon) but here, I’ve actual ignored my one fashion0rule in this amazing full-skirted Natasha Zinko dress. Aren’t rules made to be broken? Plus, I just adore everything Natasha Zinko creates (HERE). And isn’t fashion about stepping outside of your comfort zone? Instead of fishnet tights I moved this comeback trend up to my top half. I usually wear this net long-sleeve in the summer with a crop top underneath but lately I’ve been having fun layering with completely random elements that usually stay in my wardrobe all winter. So I dare you… layer-up a summer piece from your wardrobe or buy a colour that you don’t think necessarily fits your style… you may just be surprised.
