This is sadly the last post of the first ever JTO Takes Rio Series. I decided to end the series at the beach – somewhere I don’t get to go to often, but a place that always makes me feel at peace. It felt amazing to frolic on the Rio de Janeiro beach with no shoes, no inhibitions, and feel a million miles away from home.
As someone who always enjoys dressing up, the beach is just another location to wear something fun. I covered up my new, white kiini bikini with this Matthew Williamson cover up that I borrowed from my mama, and bought these $8 glasses from a vintage stall during my most recent Barcelona trip. Something new, something old, and something borrowed. I swear this is all coincidence.
I hope you enjoy the quirks I added to this look that are super easy to emulate – a sunhat with it’s top cut off and glasses with transparent frames for a 70s edge. With this, I bode farewell to my Rio de Janeiro diaries but in no way say goodbye to the incredible city – I hope to be returning very soon.
