JTO Takes Mauritius: Island Sounds

The last post of  JTO Takes Mauritius reviewed some of my favourite-ever books (here). So for this post, I thought it was time to turn to music. Apart from reading, another much-loved holiday pastime of mine is simply listening to some really good music. No distractions, no place I’m trying hurriedly to get to, just some quality time between myself and a Spotify playlist. I’ve broken the below playlists down into sections to denote “mood” – so you’ll find a very varied mix of genres, from afrobeats, to classic reggae. Whether you’re somewhere warm and relaxing, or not, I hope these tunes can at least mentally transport you to some remote island.
