Do You Even Listen to The Band?

In the last few months I have seen rock band t-shirts literally everywhere. It’s just been one of those inescapable trends. Although most “overkill” trends tend to annoy me, I decided to check out what all the hype was about.

The main issue with most rock t-shirts is the fact that people sport band logos of music they don’t listen to. For example, I bought this River Island t-shirt on ASOS and although it has substituted a band name for the slightly generic slogan,”Live Fast”, “Live Forever”, there’s no denying that it has been heavily “inspired” by the rock tees one would find in any Noting Hill vintage shop.

Despite this lack of authenticity, I can’t deny that this look still gave me a certain “rock and roll” feeling that I usually shy from. Paired with white canvas trainers and vintage sunglasses, this has to be one of the more stripped back looks currently on jtofashion.com, and now I can’t help but predict that I’ll be getting more into tees this summer… I would love to hear if this is a look you would rock – make sure to comment below!

I really like the way you styled this, making it unique to you and your tastes. I avoided this trend as well but now you’ve got me feeling experimental 🤔
