Shooting With British Vogue!

I am so unbelievably excited to be featured in the December issue of British Vogue! I always love doing print and magazine shoots but this was a different experience entirely. I have been religiously reading British Vogue since I was 11 so to even be considered to be featured only 9 months into the JTO Fashion journey is just mind blowing. As my best friend Gigi has stated perfectly “Temi you’ve peaked in life”.

The Vogue shoot took place on the 27th of August. We did the shoot starting at Duro Olowu’s boutique then there was some more shooting, including the final shot chosen, on the streets of Mayfair. My first outfit was a to-die-for Duro pussybow blouse and silk trousers in contrasting print, and my second look was a Miu Miu coat. Yes, I did consider stealing that coat.

It was so inspiring working with such respected and creative individuals. Not to mention how welcoming, understanding and funny everyone on set was. To have Laura Coulson take my portrait and to be personally styled by Nura Khan was such an honour. I  can only dream to become as dedicated as them in whatever field I choose to work in fashion one day. I hope you enjoyed seeing/reading about my Vogue experience and make sure to pick up your own December issue! Hint: An emerald and bejewelled Karlie Kloss is on the cover.

  • Well done on the feature. I’m so glad British Vogue is also looking at and recognising rising and established talent from the African continent.
