JTO Takes Lagos: 80s Prints

Welcome to the latest and potentially the greatest JTO TAKES LAGOS series. I was in Lagos for a couple of days in July and because I hadn’t been back since October, I was itching to get back and get straight to shooting something for jtofashion.com. The first part of this JTO Takes Lagos series was captured by an upcoming and talented photographer, Majeek Daniel. We met on a Tuesday Afternoon in Victoria Island and jumped straight into shooting three distinct looks.

Don’t be fooled, my dress is not vintage and I didn’t find it tucked away in the heart of a retro, Notting hill boutique. It is in fact from a very recent Chloe collection, but I love how it’s been inspired by those garish 1980’s prints that we all secretly love. Paired with green sandals, and statement cat-eye sunglasses, the 80s may be my latest era for inspiration. Forget the swinging 60’s and grungy 90’s, geometric prints deserve their moment in the spotlight.
